Galkhaite
A variety of Minerals

What is Galkhaite?
Galkhaite is a rare and chemically complex sulfosalt mineral from a group of natural thioarsenites. Its formula is (Cs,Tl)(Hg,Cu,Zn)6(As,Sb)4S12, making the mineral the only known natural Cs-Hg and Cs-As phase. It occurs in Carlin-type hydrothermal deposits.
Market Value Factors
Pricing varies for every rock and mineral, so use these universal factors to gauge Galkhaite before comparing listings or appraisals.
Size & Weight
Larger, intact specimens usually command higher prices.
Rarity & Demand
Scarce material or popular varieties sell at a premium.
Condition & Finish
Chips, repairs, and heavy wear lower value; clean prep helps.
Treatment & Provenance
Untreated specimens with documented locality are prized.
