What is Cavansite?

It is a relatively recently identified mineral, dating back only to the 1960s. Its rarity makes it unprofitable to mine, but incredibly valuable to mineral collectors.

Uses & Applications

Cavansite is popular as a specimen among collectors due to its vibrant color and because it is frequently found as a compound with other colorful or white minerals. Additionally, it is a source of vanadium, though it is less common than other sources.
